There’s nothing new in the possibility of the sea returning to the low lying fenland areas of Lincolnshire and Cambridgeshire – and this is something that has indeed happened within living memory , however with sea levels already rising as a consequence of global warming it is looking more certain than ever. With significant amounts of UK food and vegetable production relying on the intensively farmed land much of which is at or below current sea levels, this does not bode well. – the Guardian reports… click here
